You will not leave this place hungry. Large portions of delicious home style food that is prepared in a timely fashion. Comfort foods abound with specialities such as meatloaf and pork tenderloin. just look at the photos posted to see what I'm talking about. It appears to be a favorite of locals since there's a good deal of interaction between staff and customers as well as between the customers themselves. There's not a lot of room inside but as quickly as folks are served you don't have to wait long.
Enjoyed having lunch at Steve's Place! We chose it because of the positive Yelp ratings, but we discovered Steve is a fellow Hoosier (who now lives & runs his business in North Ft. Myers). Although it was happenstance that we found Steve's Place, we would return for the scrumptious fresh shrimp ! Andy ordered the shrimp & grits, and I ordered the fried gulf shrimp with creamy coleslaw - all delicious ! And our server was kind and attentive. Steve truly has a great place!
Fluffy omelettes, great prices, Georgie is adorable, sweet, best server ever and makes you feel like family. Food is so fresh , I loved it. I hear they make an incredible burger , too. You need to check this place out if you like a good breakfast as much as I do... oh, and the mimosas are fabulous.....
Just had to go again! This time for breakfast. My wife ordered the Spinach Mushroom Swiss Bacon Omelette With Home Fries and I ordered a Full Order of Biscuits and Gravy with Home Fries. The omelette was LOADED with all the goodies. The B's and G's come with two biscuits, fluffy, not stuffy and a tasty sausage loaded gravy seasoned just right with black pepper. These home fries are the bomb. Probably did a little time on the flat top, then deep fried. Crunchy outside, soft inside. You rock, Steve's!
Great local diner. Had fried green tomatoes. Super light coating that had excellent flavor. Ruben traditional and very good. The Hoosier was a huge portion of thinly breaded pork. I had to get an extra plate to cut it. Yummy all around
